About us

MUSIC VALLEY'S HOME OF
Country Music

OPEN SINCE 1977

  • Situated in the heart of the country music capital, Nashville Palace is more than just a honky-tonk—it's a living, breathing piece of history. Since opening its doors in 1977, the Palace has served as a launching pad for some of country music’s biggest names, a gathering place for legends, and an unshakable cornerstone of the Nashville sound.

  • Long before he was selling out arenas, Randy Travis was a dishwasher and part-time performer at the Palace. The venue gave him his first real break, proving that talent and opportunity go hand in hand in this town. Over the years, the Palace has echoed with the voices of countless country icons—George Jones, Waylon Jennings, Alan Jackson, and Lorrie Morgan—each leaving a mark on its hallowed stage. It’s a place where history isn’t just remembered; it’s made.

  • While Broadway has transformed into a neon-lit tourist hotspot, Nashville Palace has remained true to its roots. Nestled in Music Valley, just across from the Grand Ole Opry, the Palace continues to be a haven for traditional country, honky-tonk, and western dance. It’s where you go to experience Nashville the way it used to be.

  • Walking into the Palace is like stepping back in time. The long bar lined with regulars, the walls adorned with memorabilia, and the electric atmosphere tell the stories of those who came before. Whether you're looking for live music, authentic Southern food, or a night of unforgettable dancing, the Palace delivers. And if you’re lucky, you might just witness the next Randy Travis on stage.

For country music lovers, a trip to Nashville isn’t complete without a night at Nashville Palace. It’s not just a venue—it’s a rite of passage, a pilgrimage, and a celebration of the music and dance that built this city.

  • If you're looking for the ultimate honky-tonk dance floor, this is it. With a spacious wooden dance floor that has seen thousands of cowboy boots shuffle across it, Nashville Palace is widely regarded as the best dancing bar in Tennessee. Whether you're an expert at Texas two-stepping, line dancing, or just looking to learn, the Palace offers live music that keeps the floor packed every night. It’s a place where the rhythm takes over, the music never stops, and the energy is infectious.

Best place to dance!

Love, love, love dancing here! Always a fun time! $10 cover fee but so worth it! Ladies it’s best to wear a cross over or fanny pack if you plan to dance most of the time.
